about
Larva is a space for experimental practice across architecture and visual arts. Our practice is rooted in research and documentation, driven by a curiosity for methods, formats and perspectives.
We are committed to what we consider the defining paradigms of our time: social and climate justice. In architecture, we believe in a circular, socially engaged and context-driven approach, working with what already exists, prioritizing natural materials, and designing with care. We understand it as a field grounded in human interaction – with each other, with space, and with the processes of inhabiting and transforming it.
Audiovisual production is central to our work: it allows us to observe, reflect and narrate the complexity of both built and lived environments. We operate in the overlapping fields of spatial, visual and documentary practice, using filmic, graphic and analytical tools to register and visualize construction processes, material cycles and spatial transformations.
Larva is also a collaborative space. We value exchange and enjoy working with artists, architects, activists, collectives and friends who share a critical and sensitive approach to spatial, artistic and research practice.
